Scalable Acceleration

Effective October 1, 2026

Privacy Policy

Scalable Acceleration, Inc. (“Scalable Acceleration”, “we”, “us”) runs this website and the Scalable Acceleration Assistant (the “Assistant”): a personal AI assistant that a company gives its employees. Each Assistant works for one person, its owner, in Slack, Gmail and Google Calendar, on a computer of its own that we run. This policy says what information we collect, how we use it, how we store and share it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

On this website

The website has no accounts and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider processes standard request data, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site.

When you use the Assistant

  • Account information:your name and email address from Google sign-in, your Slack user ID, and the settings your company's administrator enters (company name, email domains, administrators).
  • Google user data, with your permission: when you connect Gmail and Google Calendar, the Assistant can read your email messages and settings, create drafts and send email, and see, create and edit events on your calendars. Google sign-in also gives us your basic profile (name, email address, picture).
  • Slack data: messages in conversations the Assistant takes part in, and results of searches it makes with the permissions you grant it.
  • Work content: the requests you give the Assistant, the tasks it keeps, the files it works with on its computer, and records of what it did.
  • Operational data:logs and health information about the Assistant's computer and software.

How we use information

We use information only to provide the Assistant's features to you and to keep the service running, secure and working well. For example, the Assistant reads your email to sort it and to tell you what needs your attention, drafts and sends email you ask for, checks and changes your calendar when you ask, answers you in Slack, and carries out the tasks you give it. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

Scalable Acceleration's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the Assistant's features that you use.
  • We transfer Google user data to others only as needed to provide those features (see “How we share information”), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
  • We do not use or transfer Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  • Our staff do not read Google user data unless you agree for specific messages, it is needed for security (for example, to investigate abuse), it is needed to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for our internal operations.

AI processing

The Assistant uses AI models from OpenAI, through OpenAI's API, to understand your requests and to act on them. The content a task needs, which can include parts of your email, calendar and Slack messages, is sent to the model provider for that purpose only, under API terms that do not let the provider use it to train its models.

How we share information

  • Service providers that run the service for us, under contracts that limit their use of the data: Google Cloud (hosting and storage) and OpenAI (AI processing).
  • The services you connect: the Assistant sends messages, email and calendar changes through Slack and Google as you ask it to.
  • Your company:your company's administrators manage the Assistant setup for the company. They do not get access to your Assistant's email or calendar data through us.
  • Legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Scalable Acceleration.

Storage and security

We store data in Google Cloud in the United States. Each company's Assistants run in a cloud project of their own, and each Assistant runs on its own computer. Access tokens for Google and Slack are encrypted and kept in a secret store that the AI cannot read. Only authorized Scalable Acceleration staff can reach an Assistant's computer, and only to keep the service running and secure, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your Assistant is active. When you or your company remove an Assistant, we delete its computer, its stored access tokens and its data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your choices

  • Remove the Assistant's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and remove its app from your Slack workspace.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@scalableacceleration.com.

Children

The Assistant is a service for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we tell you before it takes effect.
